It was a beautiful fall day in December. The oaks turn late in the hill country west of Austin TX.
I did some work work this morning. The wind was stiff early after the passing of a front. The sky was crystal and when the wind died down I got packed up and went out for a blister. After about 5 miles the blister broke just before I got back to the car. Not before a I had a great walk in the woods on the Wolfe MT trail at Perdenalas State Park.

Too bad the blister broke I would have loved to trek down to the falls. We have had a lot of rain the last month and I expect the river is up some still. One of these storms I am going to go out to see if a flash flood is coming through the falls.
